Terrapin from Lincolnshire (1 Viewer)

Can anyone please offer an opinion on this terrapin spp photographed at Whisby Nature Reserve (just outside Lincoln) earlier this month.

My best guess would be a North American Yellow-bellied Slider (common in the pet trade?), but it would be good to get a second opinion.

The blotches on the carapace, the narrow yellow lines on the head and the bright reddish belly all point towards Red-bellied Turtle. This does not mean it is one (there are multiple races/species/hybrids which look similar).

Yellow-bellied Turtle would have a broad yellow blotch on its cheek.

Many thanks for your replies; much appreciated.

It's good to get a correct id on this beast. Exotic terrapin id is not my strong point!
