planetx,
All who have reacted on your questions, completely forgot to mention the Meopta Meostar 8x32, which can compete with every 30 or 32 mm binocular mentioned from every brand mentioned here and the advantage is that it costs quite a bit less.
If you are interesed in test results from all binoculars mentioned including the Meopta 8x32 look at the WEB-site of House of Outdoor under "verrekijkers testen en vergelijken", where I have published all my test data.

Gijs is absolutely right about the little Meopta. This superb bino looks a little odd in photographs but in real life it looks and feels just right and has excellent optics. I should also mention Kowa's Genesis 8x33 which is also a terrific performer.

I’ve gone and totally contractid myself and swapped for a Trinovid 10x42 BA, 1 owner and MINT.

But they seem to look very orange today ( UK)

Weird or what. The font of all knowledge (aka Mrs Egrets) has just informed me the red sun phenomenon is caused by sand storms in the Sahara, and is known as a Sepia!!

Same in Sheffield too. It gave everything a most unearthly appearance until about 15:00 when the sky began to clear.
