Great Blue Heron, Ardea herodias (1 Viewer)

I just can't pass up a chance to take a picture of a Great Blue Heron. They are so majestic. I took this still shot this morning (10-04-02) and since the bird continued to pose for me, I made a 15 second silent movie of same. This was my first bird movie ever made with my Nikon CoolPix 775. When I got home and played the movie.......Surprise, Surprise! I found that I had filmed that "majestic" bird regurgitaing something red and meaty looking. Ugh! If I ever learn how to do Streaming Video, I'll show it to you all.

Thanks everybody. And Avi, I have very happy memories of a vacation I spent in Tel-Aviv and environs in 1989. What a beautiful beach with all those "matkot" players and that beautiful patterned sidewalk!
