Greetings!

I have been interested in the Zeiss Diafun binoculars for the last few days, but I'm unable to find a pair locally to evaluate.

Has anyone here had a chance to examine a pair of these in either 8x30 or 10x30? If so, what were your impressions?

Thanks in advance,
Bawko

The Dec 2003 issue of Bird Watcher's Digest had a test report of sub-$500 binoculars, and the 10x30 Diafun did not particularly distinguish itself. The test report may still be available on BWD's website. Aside from that, I'm not sure that the Diafun series is still considered a current product. They are not shown in my Zeiss binocular catalogue that is recent enough to include the FLs (Mar 2004).

Diafun, discontinued, when the Conquest binoculars were launched.

Some stores may still have them in stock.
