Hi all does anyone know if the Nikon P900 is discontinued? the reason I ask is that I have read some bad press, and all outlets in the UK that are advertising it have not got it!!! John Lewis who normally have pictures of the cameras that they sell with a stock level on it does not have a picture at all!!

I have a P900, but out of interest I checked Google for stockists and found several that have them available for immediate delivery, good camera by the way :)

Doubt it would be discontinued, seen that Nikon apologized for being unable to keep up with the demand for this camera.
Afaik, the production has in fact been increased with additional capacity brought to bear to meet this demand.
That said, Nikon offered the P610, the improved version of the P600, a year after the P600 was introduced. The P900 is about 6 months old, so a P910 might be expected early next year. That would mean that P910 production is getting under way, displacing the P900.
Do note that there is no indication as yet that a P910 is in the works, just that the P600/P610 transition is very suggestive.
