West Freugh kite power firm seeks bird condition change (1 Viewer)

Interesting article on the BBC's website. Sounds a bit daft to me but they are trying to generate power by flying kites. The bit that caught my eye was "seeks bird condition change". Needless to say, they have decided the effect on birds is negligible because the species of concern, Hen Harriers and W-fronted Geese were not present during the flying period of April to October.

It's nice that two different worlds can help each other isn't it? The Grousers exterminate the Harriers and the energy company can fly kites without a problem. Scotland sure knows how to look after the environment!

On a lighter note the Beeb uses a picture of a Buzzard - a bird not mentioned in the article - just in case its readers don't know what "a bird" looks like.
