(Usual plea for mercy on beginner) ... this can only be a female Tufted Duck, but that patch of white in front of the eye looks very odd to me. Thoughts?

Hi 'Redshift',
Female Tufted Duck.These can show much more white than this bird,sometimes appearing quite Scaup-like.
