So today, i was doing some yard work, it was a cold day, i thought it was going to be a day with almost no birding, but i tucked a small pair of binocs in my pocket just in case. As i was raking, i saw a huge raptor souring over the trees, thankfull that i brought my binocs i took a closer look, and identified it as a red-tailed hawk. Ive seen a lot of these, but usually when i go out birding, not when im cleaning the yard!o:D

They are mainly known for the rural areas, but I've seen them in downtown Dallas and of course the famous Pale Male and his partner in New York city. Nice yard bird to have.
