I always boil and make my hummingbird liquid. However, I've now moved north and have well water. Our dogs drink it. We don't drink it. If I boil it , will it be ok for my tiny friends?

I should think it would be okay as long as it is boiled. It might be a good idea to have it tested some time down the road.

Hi there and a warm welcome to you from those of us on staff here at BirdForum :t:

I do the same thing! Hummingbirds are so cool! I have a video of one with neon like pink colors. Here try and share. well it only allows photos not video. I'll have to figure out how to take a still from the video to share later.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Nice of you to join in. If the water is safe for you, it is safe for the hummingbirds. We used well water for 20 years and never had a problem.

Hi Shimmer and a warm welcome from me too.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I hope to hear about all the birds you see when out and about.
