Camera for digiscoping and macro (1 Viewer)

Hi,

Does anyone know if the Canon PowerShot SD700 IS (IXUS 800 IS) is any good when it comes to digiscoping with a Kowa TSN821 (primarily documentation purposes)? And if anyone knows anything about the macro quality on that camera as wel, I'd be very happy. I believe I'll use macro at least as often as I will do digiscoping.
Would it be better to consider the Coolpix P5000 over the PowerShot for my purposes?
