Crap Birder
Didn't actually get eyes on this one in the field. Picked it up way too late as it wheeled away fast, heading behind buildings/trees. Bins were too far to reach but I snapped off these prize-winners in the couple of seconds I did have. Without bins, first thought was osprey long wings, lots of elbows - but looking now the dark neck/head and the wingtips (pale window/dark hand) have me second guessing. At work with no literature, so would appreciate being told it is just an osprey.

Habitat was a small hamlet/clearing in the middle of extensive pine/oak woods, a good 15 miles from the nearest body of water and 20-25 from the coast. Hot sunny day, early evening.
