¿Aythya fuligula?
HI everybody.
¿Do you see here a clear Aythya fuligula? There were several in the same lake; the others were, but we saw something diferent in this one. We thought of collaris or even a hybrid. At the end we decided fuligula, but still not 100% sure. What's your opinion? Thanks. Jesús |

The second picture clarifies it: I am afraid it is just a Tufted duck. (well so you got your ID correct).
Head shape and Bill pattern are OK and the dark flanks only indicate it is not fully out of eclipse plumage yet. |

Looks fine for a normal Aythya fuligula (Tufted Duck). Much varitation in males during autum, due to post-breeding moulting
