Hi Michael et al,
I was going to post a link to that petition myself, having received an e-mail about it.The Black Sea coast really is a major flyway for migrant birds, and a windfarm in the area could have catastrophic effects. Harry H |

Hi Pete,
If it comes up in Bulgarian, click on the small UK flag near the top right corner of the page, then you'll get the English language version Michael |

Clicked and signed - their own-language homepage took a long while to open-up, though, even with broadband.

Boy, that took ages to load up. Signed it Michael.
I noticed a photo from the Straits of Gibraltar and have to say that Tarifa is a sorry sight to behold. They have totally ruined the area with the massive wind farm they have put there. Let's hope this petition works. |

Hi Michael - thanks for bringing the petition to our attention. I have signed the petition and also registered for their email newsletter - just hope it is in English!!
I am planning to go to Bulgaria in May; it is a surprisingly rich country as regards breeding birds. I had decided to go to see Paddyfield Warbler and Pied Wheatear for my WP list but have now realised that I have a chance of five other species in the country - Pygmy, Tengmalm's and Ural owls, Black-winged Pratincole and Rock Partridge. Plus Megan can get Hazel Grouse. Fairly cheap too. Steve |
