Hi K C,
Am at work at the moment, but will have a look at books & notes when home, if others haven't id.ed it by then.
H
PS In the meantime, do a search on Swiftlets in this Forum, for previous Q & As on them.

Oh Dear !!! looks like an up hill task IDing this bird, however from the description given in Craig Robson's book, it is most likely to be the Himalayan, or the Germain's Swiftlet. It is a biggish bird in flight ...., and has a tail notch of a Himalayan, colour description seems right too .... anyways I would still like to hear from others what they think ....

I think this is an innominatus Himalayan Swiftlet. The rump in Himalayan is a bit paler warm brown than the mantle; as in this bird.
The rump of Germain's is yet a bit paler greyish and shows usually a paler throat. The throat of the latter seems to be dark in some pictures though. I cant find any glossy tail or wingfeathers either (but that may be hard to judge).

Googled the internet, looks like not much information there, except for one picture of the Himalayan Swiftlet from India, by Sujan Chatterjee, posted in OBC....
