Talking Just soooooo Happy.

It was a damp cold windy morning, with a good bit of feeding. Blackbirds,
robin, blue-coal-great-tits, i was just making a brew looked out again and there
he was!!!! our BOY was back BULLFINCH with his female in tow what a sight
for sore eyes, we had not seen him for about 2 months, my wife had lost hope
of him returning! it brought a tear to the eye. so just wanted to share a very
happy moment with you garden watchers, and bully fans. from a very happy
house.

That's good news Bert - a few months ago we had regular visits from a pair of bullfinches. They used to bathe in the two shallow pools of the little cascade that runs into the pond. There is a rockery on either side, and I put out mixed seed and sunflower hearts there for them each day, in the hope of showing them what a good home they had found - it didn't work, we have not seen them for ages now!

We here also share the joy of birds returning year after year. We have noticed some birds make an apearence for just a few weeks and others for just a few days. Our Rosebreasted Grossbeak might stay around for only three days. But he has shown himself two years in a row. We also look forward to a guest apearence from the Eastern Towhee. It kicks it's way through the fallen leaves looking for burried treasure. Today we had a Dark Eyed Junco back the first time since the spring.
If one of your favorite birds has "Flown the Coop" you can almost bet they will be back. To us it's a big thrill to re-aquaint ourselves with those "vagabond gypsy rovers"

Nice one bert...

Looking forward to Bullfinch on my outback... we know they've been there before, but it's been almost a year since they were seen (and not by me, I hasten to add!)

I'd give my right arm for a Bullfinch over here.

My damn cat got a female Bullfinch 2 weeks ago. We don't get many so I was a bit annoyed to say the least.
