Which Mic?!

Hi,

I'm an absolute beginner in sound records.
But it is time to start

I have a Sony RZ37 to record the sounds, but I need a mic.
I want to record calls of flying birds, while I count them.

So there should be no zoom! It should just record the birds if there is something interesting (Anthus hodgsoni, richardi....)

Do you know wich mic is good?!

Ah: It should not be too expensive...

Thank you very much
Ralph

Is the RZ37 a MD recorder? A cheap good start is an ATR55 set to cardioid for your usage. But you will need to improvise wind protection and use a tripod or clamp for this model is very susceptible to handling noise. See this page for more info
