World Birder, County Recorder and Garden Moth-er

Someone on another forum, not a Birdforums one, has posted to see if anyone knows of a CD-ROM World Checklist. Presumably he is looking for a simple list as opposed to a listing package. Does anyone know of one?

Steve,
For personal use only, Ornitaxa has a good world list available to download off their website. It's based on Sibley and Monroe. For a simple checklist, Avibase has a web based checklist that you can select by country, region, etc. Google will get you to both websites. Don't have the URL's handy.
