Orchids Strimmed
I was stoping on a camp sight right next to the coast path near Milton Haven Wales. On a walk along the coast path we came across two Orchids on the side of the path, these were the only two for miles. It came as a surprise to us that whilst local workers were strimming the coast path the actually strimmed the Orchids. I come from Devon and there are lots of Orchids on our road side, but they are not strimmed until they have died back.
My opinion of this was they should have been left so they would come back again |

Yes, that would be correct Seamoor. Do you know what type of Orchid they were? If it is Dactylhoriza fuchsii, its not that important. Common as muck everywhere (even in my lawn!) but if its a rarer type, well thats a different matter.
