Hi Seamoor, I have a feeling that a lot of Devon is "acidic" could be a bit of a problem with many orchid species. The Harraps in their "Orchids of Britain & Ireland" suggest Rame Head and Berry Head Country Park as good sites for Bee. There is a problem with numbers this year, there are a few plants on Portland and they are sturdy but in small numbers, I went to a site in North Dorset last Sunday that was carpeted with them last year, but this year, not a single plant!
Good luck anyway,
Regards Lorne

Rame isn't very good in my opinion - if by this they mean the same place as the Serapias parviflora.

As Lorne says it isn't very good this year for them.

There are plenty in Somerset if you are willing to travel a little.
