Check out the superscript I used on subspecies - my attempt to reference Clements in his range evaluations of the subspecies. It seems to work - I just am uncertain about how to cite Clements - does any one have all the official information? If it's at the tips of someone's fingers, I'd rather not go hunting.

The superscript system is fine, but I prefer having the name in the text, so that I don't need the extra click to know who is cited, i.e.:

Subspecies (Clements, 2007):
G. p. andrewsi - Cocos Islands (Bay of Bengal)
G. p. philippensis - Philippine Islands
G. p. pelewensis - Palau Is. (w Caroline Islands)

The reference is:
Clements JF. 2007. ''The Clements Checklist of Birds of the World''. 6th ed., with updates to October 2008. Cornell University Press. ISBN 9780801445019

I have done the edit.

As you've noted, the reference is at the bottom of the page, so it's not really one click away - that's just for convience. But it's good practice in line with how I'm referencing "consulted maps/texts" in the map-initiative.
