Clark's Grebe

------------ BNA Online lists subspecies "transitionalis" as the "Northern race", but Clements indicates that nominate "clarkii" is the northern species: "W North America (se Alaska to n Mexico)" vs. "transitionalis": Coastal w Mexico (Nayarit) and Mexican plateau Anyone have any other sources? The species wasn't split when Howell & Webb was published, even though they indicated a split was imminent and have a separate account for it. Last edited by AlexC : Monday 14th July 2008 at 05:20. |
