??Lasioglossum albipes - Somerset, UK

My garden was full of activity today and I'm struggling to id a number of insects. There were a few of these bees on some ragweed on a neighbouring plot. I've seen a picture on a Finnish site that looks similar but I wonder if there are any experts who can give some pointers?

Many thanks

Tim

The larger amount of white hairs/banding on the abdomen suggest Lasioglossum calceatum(male) to me. L. abipes has more reduced banding or banding is absent.

Thank very much Wildwood. I've had a look at some good pics on the www.bwars.com website (looks a good resource) and I totally agree with your id. Many thanks. I'll see if I can identify some more of yesterday's finds now.

Cheers

Tim
