Olive-crowned Yellowthroat (Geothlypis semiflava) -a male bird photographed near Bijagua, N.E. Guanacaste, Costa Rica in July 2008.

Not the best of images but it will suffice till something better comes along!

This is a Grey-crowned Yellowthroat I'm afraid. Olive-crowned has a much finer, black bill, more extensive black mask and greener crown. (The colour of the crown on this bird is not easy to see, but looks grey to me.)

Woops.
I saw quite a few Grey-crowned Yellowthroats prior to this bird & thought this one looked different. I convinced myself that the mask was more extensive but having noted your comments I can see I'm wrong. Thanks for pointing this out.
