Shorebird in Ottawa

I saw a few shorebirds in a large area of standing water on my way home this morning - some were yellowlegs, but others looked gray and white and I'm not sure what they were. When I returned a little later with my scope, they had all moved back to the far side of the pond and the gray and white ones that had caught my attention were difficult to view. I took a few photos through my scope, and these are the best ones (I have a hard time focusing through my scope). The one on the right is a yellowlegs, but can anyone tell me what the other one is?

Thanks as always!

Really? Another yellowlegs? I guess I'm just not used to them sitting down (where I can't see the legs!)

Really? Yes.

It's important to go beyond "yellowlegs"; they are two really quite different species, so get used to both in their own right and you'll get used to them quicker! Nice shot of the two together.

If nothing else just compare the body bulk between the two. Lesser on the right is obviously smaller.
