Isle of may

We have a freind staying with us who would like to visit the Isle of May next week but I am reluctant to go at this time of year. What is likely to be on the island in September?.
Thanks
Malcolm

All the breeding seabirds will have gone. It will be a little too early for breeding Grey Seals. Depending on weather conditions there may be a favourable fall of migrants but the paradox with the May is that the very weather conditions which favour a fall of interesting migrants also prevent access to the island for day-trippers!

The odd Skua, Purple Sandpipers & some passing Divers are likely whilst Manx & Sooty Shearwaters are possible.

It's not the best time of year for the May unfortunately.
