1: 21st March 2008 ~ Common Crane ~ Lifer No. 194
2: 13th March 2009 ~ Slavonian Grebe ~ Lifer No. 195
3: 5th April 2009 ~ Mediterranean Gull ~ Lifer No. 196

Really going to push for the 200 this year which *fingers crossed* shouldn't be TOO hard as I have a few 'simple' ones to catch up with - Ring Ouzel, Red Grouse, Avocet and ANY petrel or shearwater

After a return to birding after 20 years I've added three 'lifers' to my list, and all are reflective of climate change since the 80's as well as more conservation awareness.
1. Hobby
2. Peregrine.
3. Spoonbill

If I am allowed to bend the rules and add a fourth it's
4. Little Egret

ps: I've also gone out and heard our 'local' corncrakes and common quails, birds that I didn't even consider a chance of hearing back in my old birding days.
