I checked with Zeiss a couple of years ago and they confirmed Rogers is a Zeiss dealer. I had real good customer service with them when my order was damaged by UPS a while back.

Thanks for the tip fazalmajid
Ive been staring at the B+H website for years and had never noticed the deal zone button at the top of the home page.
Snagged a pair of the Terras, for that price the credit card just jumped out of my wallet.

Sorry about that, and my condolences to your wallet. I'll confess to being addicted to that deals page.

I love your paintings and photos, by the way. The Shining-Green Honey-Creeper is my absolute favorite thus far:

No worries, the wallet will survive I hope

Thanks for the comment, the Green Honeycreeper shot is my absolute favourite as well. It was a straightforward one to get as both her and her boyfriend were fearless around the feeder we had on that tiny balcony. It was always such fun to look out the kitchen window and see these guys squabbling a mere five feet away, never really had any need for binoculars there!
Cheers,
Bryan

Vixen Foresta 8x32 Heads Up

I don't know if these are still on sale anywhere, and they were certainly worth the $50 shipped I paid for them (from Star Guy), but the stated 20mm ER is effectively about 12mm since the top of the ocular lens sits about 8mm lower than the eyecup rim. If you don't wear glasses, or you have thin glasses that sit close to your eyes, then this won't matter, but I can't get a full view with them w/glasses (and can with other binoculars spec'd at 18-20mm ER).

Still, it was a great bargain at $50, and they will make a great gift for someone this Christmas!

Cabelas has the Leupold BX3 Mojave 8x32 on sale for $199.

I just picked up a pair and they are excellent. I have directly compared them to my Zen Ray ED2 8x43, Vanguard Endeavor 10x42, and Vortex Fury 6.5x32. The image on the Mojave is tack sharp and they are nice and compact compared to my Zen and Vanguard, even more compact than the Furys.

Cabela's optics sale

See: http://www.cabelas.com/product/home/...rs/1728614.uts

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe this is the same as the Meostar 8X32 at a great price.

Peter, post 3120,
If you look closer to the binocular shown it says Meopta on the small disk on the lower side of the axis. This is the Meopta Meostar B1 8x32.

BX-1 Yosemite 8X30...

I've never owned one but by all accounts it's a nice $100 binocular. Midway now has it for $54.63.

Tract Tekoa-

I found a used pair of Tract Tekoa 8x42s last month for $290 on Amazon--very nice optics.

Cabelas has the Leupold Proguide 8x42s for $250 for quite a while now.

My best find was the last Leupold Hawthorne 8x42s for $90 shipped.

I think I saw Leupold Cascades at Natchez.com for $80.

Wow the price of optics has dropped--

Thanks! I had preordered the new Zeiss 8x25 and this saved me an extra $35.
