Troupial

---------------- In a different thread http://www.birdforum.net/showthread.php?t=124058, we agreed to treat the old Troupial as three species. The reason to take this up here is the name of the present species, "Troupial" or "Venezuelan Troupial". S&M used Troupial, Clements and IOC used the longer Venezuelan T, and H&M has not recognized the split. I believe that our rule is that when Clements and S&M disagree as here, IOC should be the tie-breaker, and if there are no good arguments against, I will rename this species probably tomorrow evening. Cheers Niels Edit: AOU and SACC both also use the Venezuelan T name Last edited by njlarsen : Wednesday 1st October 2008 at 04:04. |

Done.
I had to delete most of the range which seemed to detail the pre-split range. Niels |
