Lake Michigan Fall Lakeshore Watch
For the past two years dozens of Michigan birders have birded sites along the Lake Michigan shore to count migrating ducks, gulls, loons, grebes, jaegers and every other bird that happens by. Most birders are stationed at one of the many piers or lighthouses along the shore or at geographical points that are advantageous to see migrants.
Last year I had a good rarity list including Pomarine and Parasitic Jaeger, Black-legged Kittiwake, and Little Gull. This year has been a little quiet. Next lakeshore watch date is Nov. 22nd. If you are interested in joining post here for additional information.
