Pine Flycatcher in Choke Canyon (South Texas)
There has been a Pine Flycatcher in Choke Canyon since Dec 13!! It was not correctly ID'd until Jan 2 though. It apparently is very easily seen and heard. If anyone is within driving distance, this Mexican rarity would be a great lifer! It apparently is easly to ID by call - a "wit" and by the extensive and brighter yellow on belly and extending up its sides (more than the empids that we normally see that say "wit"). Check out TEXBIRDS or the Fort Worth Audubon website for info. I feel a road trip coming on!!!
