Yellow-headed Blackbird

Not one of my best, but still a pretty bird. He is 10 inches (25.4 centimeteres) in height. I was about 45 yards (41 meters) from him. http://www.pbase.com/image/8957898.jpg In the Spring time, they are all over the place.

Hi Brian,

I've never had the opportunity of seeing a Yellow-headed Blackbird but after viewing your photo, I'll recognize one when I see it. Thanks for the post.

Nice looking bird in a nice setting. A bit more colourful than our Blackbirds. It's certainly better than just being a 'record shot' which I at least like to get of a species.

Thanks, Gaye. I am my own worst critic.
