London, UK - Which bird's nest is this please?

There is a nest in a tree branch in my garden. I saw a bird there which looks very much like a blue tit, but I thought they only nest in hollows etc. Is it possible that a blue tit made a nest in my tree, or is it some other bird's nest?

That's highly unlikely. What is more likely is that it is an old nest from last year and the Blue Tits were robbing it of nesting material to take to their own nest in a hole somewhere else.
