RFI: White-backed Woodpecker in Bulgaria
Hi
Can anyone out there provide me with information on reliable places to look for White-backed Woodpecker (race lilfordi) in Bulgaria, please. Might have a chance of a long weekend there later this year, and this is my main target bird. From what I've read, the Strandja NP area near Sinomorec seems very promising, but I'm sure how reliable the birds are here, or if there are specific areas where they are most easily found.
