Visiting San Antonio mid-July. Tips?
I'm visiting SA in mid-July for 4 or 5 days. Does anyone have any suggestions for any hot-spots?
I'm coming from Massachusetts and haven't ever been to Texas, so am hoping to add at least a handful of lifers while I'm down there. Thanks! |

Hi Merg,
It'll be rather hot (90's) in this part of Texas in July, but if you are able to get out very early in the morning, you might have better luck with your birding. Try the San Antonio Audubon website for some local birding areas: http://www.saaudubon.org/birdlocs.html I don't have any personal experience of them myself, but you could also try the TexBirds forum and follow what might be posted for SA here: http://birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/TEXS.html If you want to join the list and ask questions there, here's the homepage: http://lists.texbirds.org/texbirds.html |
