Falcon? Maritime Alps SE France

From today, v blurry I'm afraid … flew fast with fairly quick beats and "elbows" bent. I thought the colouring wasn't red enough for your average Kestrel… Maybe Common Buzzard ?

Excellent! Thank you one and all for your confirmations. Just shows - I was starting to think that only the swifts come out in the heat of the day, when the person next to me pointed at the Peregrine flying past !
