Schmidt Bender Scopes

Didn't really know where to post this question, so here goes. Does anyone know where SB gets their glass for their riflescopes, they claim they make their own but I think they mean grind, polish, and cut and coat. Thats still not making the raw product. I was under the impression only a few actual glass companies exist world wide. A good source from schmidt actually told me it comes from schott and Asia. I know there are many here with much more info than I have. Thanks for any replies.
