Birding in Rondonia or Acre

Has anyone been birding in Rondonia Acre or the Xingu area of Matto Grosso? I always wanted to go to these places but never had the opportunity. I guess I'm just a daydreamer.

There's a bit of info on Rondonia on Brad Davis's site:
http://www.birdingmatogrosso.com/birdingsites.htm
He sometimes posts on here (as 'Sclateria') so he can probably give more info.
