raptor ID , Hudson River, NY

I was not able to get good shots of this bird, however by these shots and its screeches my mother and I singled it down to three species. its eityher and osprey (looks larger though), golden eagle, or immature bald eagle, all of which we have in the area. But we are probably very wrong which is why I need help please.

Looks like it has a red tail in the flight shot and doesn't appear massive enough in the perched picture to be either of the eagles. Red-tailed Hawk for me

I guess it has a darker brown in the wings and head than what my book shows. Are there Red tail hawks with lighter plumage in different areas of the U.S.?

There are a few different morphs and I believe they are variable. Here in PA I see lighter and darker ones all the time. Somebody more experienced can add on.
