Birding in Assam
I'll be in Guwahati for work in early October and will have 3 days spare at end to go birding. Does anyone have any recommendations for that short time frame? (I'll have already been to Kaziranga)
Cheers Martin

Shillong and Manas are the first things that pop up. I think Shillong will give you some new birds (that swift, wren-babbler and er... one more ;-) ), Manas will give you more of the Kaziranga experience, but slightly different, still. You can even go to the King's palace at the Buthan side, no visa needed if just paying a visit. Very good birding in lowlands and the foothills of the Himalaya.
The birdwatcher's guide to India by Kaczmyrzak is your obvious source of inspiration, I would say!
