Found this little critter in the garden earlier today. Any idea what it is please?

Could be (to my eyes) the green tortoise beetle, Cassida viridis. See -

Thanks for that. Just been looking at some images of Tortoise Beetles and another one that looks similar is the Thistle Tortoise Beetle (Cassida rubiginosa).
