Las Vegas area recommendations
I'm planning early, so hopefully someone can help me out. I will be taking a trip to Las Vegas in March, and will have one morning or afternoon to do some birding. It's an area of the country wholly different from where I live (Ohio), so even common local birds will be exciting for me to see. Can anyone recommend one place within relatively short driving distance for me? I am more interested in songbirds than shorebirds, but I would enjoy a place that has both. I do know about the place in Henderson near the wastewater plant, and would like to try something different. Thanks in advance!

Check out the birdchick's blog www.birdchick.com; Sharon uploaded a neat little video the other day about easy to reach from the strip birding locations around vegas.
