Falkland Islands ?

Hello,

I think about vacation this year.
One idea is Falkland Islands in combination with Chile, because LAN Chile has connections to Mont Pleasant.
( other idea is Newzealand in combination with Pacific Islands ).
I think about 2 weeks each area or 10 days Falkland and 20 days Chilebut it is flexible.
Is there only flights from Punta Arenas to Falkland Islands ?
Is it possible to travel at Falkland Islands on my on steam ?
Where I can find B&B or similar accomodation ( I think for tent the weather is bad ) ?
Are teher daily bird tours available ?

Thank You very much.
Best regards
Dieter

Hi Dieter,

We did a 2 weeks trip last year to the falklands, we took the flight with lan as well, the only problem with the falkland lan flight is that they only fly once a week.
About the tours, the only tour we did was by stanley, we took a day tour to volenteer point for the penguins, for the rest you don't need tours, because al the wildlife is at your front door.
we booked everything at international tours and travel, a travel agent on the falklands, also the flights !
have a look on my pbase site, pictures of a lot of wildlife, also pictures of the b&b.
