Congo Trip
The Congo & Central african Rep is an amazing region. A friend who guides for us some times sent a message by sat email : just too many birds to list but favorites included Egyptian Plover, Grey Pratincole, Plumed Guinea-fowl,and many other specials in two days. and Mammals too were amazing and on one day at Dzangha Bai we had over 50 forest Elephants, 2 groups of Giant forest hogs numbering 6 and 7 , a group of 20 Forest Buffaloes, and a group of 7 Bongos, while our night boat excursions turned up a new mammal for me, Golden Angwantibo, on two nights in a row.
