Gull/Tern Id - Mexico
I'm looking for some help on id'ing these two birds.
The first shot I think is a Bonaparte’s Gull. I'm not a hundred percent sure, because all the pictures I've seen they look like they have darker backs and wings. A confirmation would be greatly appreciated. The second bird is a somekind of a Tern, I've narrowed it down that much, I think. Again any help in a postive id would be appreciated. Both shots were taken last week north of Playa del Carmen. Thanks in advance, Guinny ![]() |

Am hinging on Laughing Gull for the gull.
Cannot see other detail, apart fom head structure and markings on either. Perhaps others can follow with better detail?

I think the gull is a Laughing Gull, and I offer a second vote for Royal Tern.
