New book out w/bird stories and poems
An excellent new fictional anthology of short stories and poems about birds has just been released in April, 2004. It is called Birds in the Hand by Dylan and Kent Nelson. I purchased a copy at local Barnes & Noble bookstore but I am certain it can be had at most any large bookstore or on-line at Amazon.com or booksamillion.com or ebay's halfprice store. If you are a bird fanatic, I highly recommend it.
