Cave spider distribution

Anyone know anything about the distribution or population size of Meta menardi in Britain, particularly SE Scotland if poss? There's a little colony local to me which doesn't seem to be on the NBN Gateway, just wondered if it's worth reporting or not.

Any info at all welcome, I love them!

As you mention the NBN gateway presumably you've seen their distribution map for the species, and I can't think of a better guide to its distribution.

You could try an appropriate contact from the British Arachnological Society's web page but personally I think it would be best initially to contact the local wildlife trust - they often to like to be kept informed about these things, and should pass the information on to the mapping scheme.

I thought that might be the answer, thanks for your reply, I guess it was a long shot that there'd be a cave spider specialist on the forum!
