If so, I need some advice. I have been taking photos of moths in macro mode using artificial light (as it's at night). I have been getting good sharp images but they always come out looking rather yellowish or even golden-hewed.
I'm taking the photos by torch-light in a shed which is illuminated by a conventional strip light. If I suppress the flash, the results are no good (exposure time too long). I haven't got the hang of the white-balance--last night I took a whole series of photos experimenting with the different white-balance settings and none of them look natural. I'm sure this is not that difficult a question, but I don't seem to have got the hang of this so far. Grateful if anyone has any advice (other than buy a new camera!) Ken

This is just to show an example. The moth, which I think is a common swift, is a sort of straw-buff colour. The closest I could get, even after editing the photo is attached.
