John, sounds like you have the same problem that I had a few weeks ago, have you got a firewall (zonealarm or similar) on your computer, if so switch it off temporarily and see if you get the thumbnails.

Colin

And Russ, stunning picture, never heard of the bird before but its a beaut.

John, nothing to do with the programming, did you update zonealarm recently - that's when my problems started. I can't remember exactly which setting I changed, but I won through after following the instructions on the following site: http://don.hoover.net/privacy.html . Try that first and if it fails go to the following and follow the thread through, you may have to register to read it, but its free: http://forum.zonelabs.org/zonelabs/b...ssage.id=11402 .

Best of luck.

John, I'm kicking myself over this one as it was just one tick in the box that was causing me the problem. I've looked through all the threads but cannot see the one that put me right. I put birdforum on all my trusted sites etc etc. and I think it may have been the settings under privacy/main, try turning all 3 controls (cookie control, ad blocking, mobile code control) to 'Off' refresh birdforum screen and check thumbnails again. It might just have to be a process of elimination, disable or turn off everything in ZA in turn and refresh the page with thumbnails on each time, and see what happens.
If you crack it let me know and I'll make sure I write it down this time!!!!!!

Certainly am John, rigger from 1968-1999, currently working for the Omani air force. The birdwatching here is incredible, did a 3 week round trip month before last and my life list went up by about 30 species, and that was at the end of the good season!!
