Reporting a moth

Hi,

I've just come across an elephant hawk moth in the Dundee area - is this unusual and, if so, to whom should I report it?

Cheers

Hello Sphenisc,

The Elephant Hawk moth is not uncommon is Scotland, If you wish to report it then you should contact your 'County Recorder' for moths. Someone else on this site may know who he is, or you can contact your local museum who will certainly know.

Regards,

Harry
