8x20 bins - Leica or Nikon

I can buy the Leica 8x20BCA like new for $180usd or the Nikon 8x20HG new from dealer for $269usd. Which do you like optically and which would be a better deal? Thanks in advance.
Dave

It's got to be the Nikon's. Superior image quality, great build quality, plus they're waterproof. See this thread:

Never tried the Nikons, but I have a pair of the little Leica's and you would have to break my arms to get me to part with them. I keep them in my pickup at all times so they are handy in case I see something that needs a better look. (I purchased a new 8x42 Ultravid last winter and have just finished my 1st spring migration with them. Magnificent)

I tried both the leica and nikon and found the nikon superior in many ways, so I bought them. I have had them for about 6 weeks now, and like them more and more. They are outstanding.

Yes. To me there are very - very close optically. Personally I like the focus knob in the front (Leica) but the Nikon focus ratio is much better (quicker). I have actually sold both and am still in a quandry as to a perfect compact bino. I like the pocket style of these but I really would rather have a 3mm exit pupil. So I am still looking. I actually am buying another pair of Leica for a present and I will play with them some more.
